Soul searching

These past months I am sure you’ve noticed I’ve been quiet but I’ve last what interests me. Didn’t want to write about beauty anymore.
Well, what has got me interested. If you follow me in Instagram you’ll have noticed I have been baking more. In fact I’ve enjoyed it so much and then realised this is what I need to be blogging about and I do believe what makes you passionate should be what you are blogging about as it shows and people will become passionate (hopefully) as well.
I know I have posted some recipes up before, but I’m becoming quite experimental in what I am baking at the moment so some may work, some may not. Will be sharing maybe both as you may like it and find it more successful then me.
Follow me on Instagram to see all my cooks in case I don’t share them all on here with you @jessicasayner and you’ll see the bakes before I put the recipes on here.
Hopefully 2016 will be good for me baking wise and as we speak I have a pie in the oven for national pie day.

Younique

Sooooo, I’m sorry I disappeared for a couple of months but had such a busy time (but that’s a different story)
So I’ve embarked on a new journey and I’ve joined Younique which is a make up company that empowers women, money goes towards women who have been abused! I have had nothing but fantastic reviews on the products I have sold.

This product 3D fiber lashes are our biggest selling product and you can see why. I now couldn’t live without this wonderful product. And they have helped my selfies (which I don’t really do but since using Younique products) I now love posing as gives me so much more confidence!

I was so tired this day but Younique products helped me look human throughout the day.

Have you used Younique before? What did you think?

This GLOSSYBOX I am loving this month. I love how it has brightened up this what has turned into a dull autumn (although loving the cosy jumpers and boots.)

Jelly pong pong play paint- This literally has brightened up my life. I love the colour of it and do not make the same mistake as me you only need to use the smallest amount. It’ll be a product that will last ages as well and you can use it on your cheeks as well as your lips.

Lanolips lip ointment with colour SPF15 rhubarb- I am more of a lipstick girl but do love this ointment, it is nice and thick which helps with cracked and dry lips which autumn and winter bring.

Nicka K airbrush blending sponge- I have lately become obsessed with these sponges when I became obsessed with contouring and I have read on another blog about the best way to clean these is with shampoo although haven’t tried it yet as soon as I do will let you lot know. This can be just used to blend your make up in and not just for contouring.

So Susan haute light highlightening pencil- I have only used this once and used it on my cheekbones, but you can also use it your brow bones (which may be where its used the most) and them you can use a sponge to blend it in. GLOSSYBOX thought of everything this month.

Talika photo- hydra day- This has quickly become part of my morning routine and my skin has become so soft since using it. I need a full size one of these in my life immediately.

What did you think of the GLOSSYBOX this month?

Bedtime routine

image

If there is one thing I love more than going to bed its the process of going to bed.
To start with I use Garnier pure active intensive exfobrusher spot fighter after using this my skin feels dreamy and I have to make it feel more dreamy by using Body Shop’s sumptuous cleansing butter I’ve recently been reading reviews and blogs about this product and I do not think it is bigged up enough. It takes make up perfectly and leaves your face with skin softer than you’ll ever know. It is so gentle on your skin and frankly i do love the smell as well.
Now for the rest of the body I use Johnson’s baby bedtime lotion yes, I do know its for baby’s but it leaves your skin so soft and its gentle to the skin. I do love a bit of Johnson’s and I love the smell of the products.
What is your favorite bedtime routine?

Raspberry and lemon baked cheesecake

image

After the amazing response on Instagram of my baked raspberry and lemon cheesecake I thought I’d share the recipe with you.

What you’ll need:
600g full fat soft cheese
200g digestive biscuits
75g butter
250g caster sugar
150g (small pot) natural yoghurt
3 eggs
Grated lemon zest of 2 lemons and the juice from 1
50g plain flour
200g raspberries
Icing sugar to decorate

Before you do anything pre- heat the oven to w
200 degrees.
First of this is the fun bit. Bashing a loads of digestive biscuits up. I put them in a bag and hit away with whatever you find handy and just imagine it’s someone you hate and you’ll soon find the job is almost done. Once you’ve done that you mix that with the 75g of melted butter then layer the bottom of a cake tin with the mix. Make sure its solidly together as you don’t want any of the cheesecake mixture leaking through.
Next you need to mix the soft cheese and sugar together until creamy and easy to mix. Then mix in the yogurt and also one egg but beat them in one at a time. Finally add lemon zest and the juice and flour. Before pouring the mix on top of the base you’ll want to add some raspberries in. Crush them before adding and give it a mix. Don’t add them all though, add two thirds as you will want some to put on the top.
Now I put the cheese cake in till brown on top which is around 45 minutes. Once done leave it in the oven for an hour and then leave it at room temperature for 2 hours then into the fridge overnight so its completely cool. Although I put my hands up and I did eat before it went into the fridge (don’t judge.)
I hope you try it and enjoy.

September favourites

I have never done a favourites post before so I thought I would start.
These have been my most used products this month and probably could not have got through September without them.
The sass purifying cleanser and the naobay toner I got in my glossybox a couple of months back and have used them every night since. I love how my skin has been since using them. They are gentle, yet get rid of dirt. They will definitely be products I buy again.
Eternity moment- now I know this perfume has been around for years but I just love the smell of it and this month I found that love again and have been using it for every occasion. Its quite a light fragrance and simple but has the right effects. I am so glad I found my love for it again.
Brows that- I recently reviewed this product on one of my previous posts but this month I had a few money problems, couldn’t get my eyebrows threaded and this was my saviour. Made my eyebrows look so much better and I really could not be without this product. Get down to boots today.
What have been your favourites during September?

Reverse hair washing

What is reverse washing? I hear you ask. Well it is what it says on the tin, you use the conditioner before using your shampoo. And believe me it works, my hair has never felt cleaner, more full of life and it doesn’t tangle as much anymore.
Using the conditioner last apparently weighs your hair down and leaves your hair looking lifeless. And after reading an article about it I had to try it and I’m so glad I did, I would never go back to normal washing.
